A debutante to perform at the Kensington Palace

Very warm welcome to my new website!

This weekis full of exciting events and I am happy to share the news with you. This Sunday 2nd of November I will be a debutante in the Russian Ball at the Old Billinsgate Hall in London. Preparations for the event included finding a debutante's dress, mastering the Viennese Waltz (in my case having to learn from scratch) and even finding a tiara. This year 60 couples of debutants have been selected for the opening of the Russian Ball in London. I can't wait for the general rehearsal on Saturday where we will meet the main choreographer Leonid Pletnev and get to practice our dances to the wonderful music by P.Tchaikovsky. The Russian Virtuosi of Europe Chamber Orchestra is going to accompany the opening ceremony on the night playing the Polonaise from the opera "Eugene Onegin" and "Waltz of the Flowers" from the ballet "The Nutcracker". More information about the event including the full programme of the ball can be found here : http://russianball.co.uk/en/

A few days after the ball on the 5th of November I will be performing with one of the most celebrated Russian pianists Yurii Rozum at the Kensington Palace in the presence of HRH Princess Michael of Kent.

Rozum founded his Yuri Rozum International Charitable Foundation in April 2005 as a means of providing scholarships to promising young musicians as well as the promotion of major annual music festivals. Later on YRICF has received support from the Life Action Trust in the UK which led to the exchange of young talents from the UK and Russia. As a stipendiat of the YRICF I am proud to take part in this concert followed by a Gala Dinner. Having my parents come all the way from Russia to support me on both occasions makes those events even more exciting and special for me.
